These are our nearest recycling centres (distances from the village hall):

St Neots (above) 9.8 miles / 19 minutes via Tetworth Hill.

Royston 8.9 miles / 14 minutes via A1198 – not open Thursday and Friday. NB  While the centre will accept our rubbish, YOU REQUIRE A PERMIT, such as your driving licence.

Biggleswade 9.8 miles / 19 minutes via B1040 no longer welcomes us, as noted on the Central Beds website.

Other places – charity banks – mainly for clothes and shoes, can be found in Biggleswade, Gamlingay, Potton, Royston, St Neots and Sandy; South Cambs District Council has a list on its ‘Find a recycling point’ page.

Seven days a week, all year round.
8.00 am to 6.00 pm – entrance gates shut 10 minutes before closing time.

** Closes 1.00 pm Christmas Eve and closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day; open on all other Bank Holidays.
** If you use a commercial-type vehicle, any trailer in excess of 1.5 m length or over 570 litre capacity, you are required to have an e-permit: Household Recycling Centre e-permit scheme.
