Repair Cafés – happening near Hatley

Mend it... don't ditch it!

Repair Cafés – pop-along events where you can get household things fixed.

Repair Cafés are pop-along events where you can get household things fixed.

Brilliant scheme – but you usually need to book a slot rather than just turn up on the day, partly to even out the flow of visitors and partly to match repairer expertise with items being brought in.

The local organisers – Cambridgeshire Repair Café Network – say “Repair Cafés are community events which match people who need stuff fixed with people who like fixing things.

“Our experienced, volunteer repairers can repair all sorts of household items – kettles, toasters, lamps, laptops, clothes, toys and bikes etc.

“All repairs are free, although we welcome donations to support our growing network.”

Reminder about the Gamlingay Repair Café on Saturday, 10th May 2025 – where you can get household things fixed.
