Banking hub in Royston
But if all you want is cash, go to Hatley post office
News
By Peter Mann
A banking hub has opened in Royston – located at the moment in the annexe at the back of the Town Hall.
It is open Monday to Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. In addition to cash transactions, a community banker service will also be available – but if all you want is cash, Hatley post office is handier.
The banking hub is owned by Cash Access UK and operated by the Post Office. Each hub has a counter where you can access cash services whenever the hub is open and whoever you bank with:
- Pay in cash (notes and coins) and cheques*.
- Withdraw cash (notes and coins)*.
- Check your balance.
- Pay utility bills*.
- Top up your gas and electricity*.
- Manage your PIN.
- For small businesses, access change-giving services.
* You can also do these at Hatley post office.
There is also a private space where you can talk face-to-face to a community banker from your bank (on the day your bank is in the hub), about more complicated banking issues like payments and transfers, managing your account and how to use online banking.
